Windows Server

Through my experience installing and configuring Windows environment servers, both "from-scratch" as well as in existing domains, I have acquired an extensive knowledge of the various roles and features in Windows Server as well as an understanding of how to implement and install them.

From legacy environments utilizing Server 2008/R2 (and to a limited extent, Server 2003), to Microsoft’s latest release - Server 2019, I have worked with a wide gamut of functionality in the operating system. This experience also includes some work in more modern additions, such as Storage Spaces, ReFS and modern clustering options.

Additionally, I have a good understanding of the traditional aspects of Windows Server - DHCP, DNS, RDS, etc.

SMB and Enterprise Networking

Throughout my experience, I have maintained, enhanced, and even built from the ground-up, a variety of networks, of various sizes. My experience primarily spans across Cisco Nexus (NOS) and Catalyst (IOS) product lines, with some more limited exposure to products from other vendors.

My abilities range from traditional routing and switching to more modern technologies like VxLAN EVPN. I am familiar with ensuring redundancy and security for high-priority environments using technologies like HSRP, MACSec, DAG, and others.

Software as a Service

As Software-as-a-Service adoption continues to grow in IT departments around the world, I have gained exposure to several technologies in this market sector. I have implemented and maintained several SaaS applications such as Microsoft’s popular Office 365 product, Mobile-Device Management solutions like JAMF, and email security systems like Mimecast.

Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

As the leader in single-provider Hyper-Converged Infrastructure deployments, Nutanix has grown rapidly over the past few years with adoption coming from both small/medium enterprises and large-scale cloud providers. Through standing up new deployments, and on-going maintenance/use of Nutanix clusters, I have been able to gain a thorough understanding of how the platform combines storage and compute silos into a single environment that is scalable and reliable enough to meet the demanding needs of today's organizations.
